Effective 20 September 2026. KeepRoute is an iPhone app with a 7-day free trial, then A$1.99 per month (Australia storefront), published independently of Tesla, Inc.
KeepRoute does not operate an account system and does not run a developer server for saved routes. Saved routes are JSON files in the app’s local storage on your iPhone.
While you navigate, KeepRoute reads your location when the app is in use so the map can show your position and the next maneuver. Location is used only for that app functionality. It is not used for advertising, and not used for tracking across apps or websites.
Place search and driving directions may be provided by Apple Maps / MapKit. Apple’s handling of those requests is described in Apple’s privacy documentation.
If you choose Send to vehicle, KeepRoute uses Tesla owner login or Tesla app access to issue this trip’s places (names and coordinates, in order) to Tesla so your car’s in-car navigation can receive them. Tesla owner tokens are stored on this iPhone (Keychain / on-device storage). KeepRoute does not require a KeepRoute backend for route files or for those tokens. If you log in with Tesla, KeepRoute may read a live vehicle snapshot such as battery percent so the app can show that Tesla is connected. That snapshot is not saved into your route files.
Tesla, Inc. handles data it receives under Tesla’s own privacy policy. You can disconnect Tesla access in KeepRoute at any time. If you never grant Tesla access, KeepRoute does not send your route to Tesla.
The 7-day free trial and A$1.99 monthly subscription are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. Cancel in iPhone Settings.
If you use Send feedback, KeepRoute opens Apple Mail (or the iOS share sheet if Mail is not set up) so you can send your written note and optional PNG screenshots to [email protected]. That email is user-initiated. Screenshots may show the route map or place names on screen at the time. KeepRoute does not upload feedback to a KeepRoute server, and Tesla owner tokens are not included in the feedback body.
